The Hatfield Police Association will be hosting and organizing the 1st annual “Community Summerfest & Public Safety Fundraiser” event on Saturday, July 30, 2011. The Hatfield Fire Association is organizing their annual motorcycle poker run and will also be selling food throughout the day to make money for their association. The Hatfield Boy Scout Troop will be selling french fries to earn money for their troop as well.
The poker run will be from noon-4pm. There will be music throughout the day by a DJ and a band- everything from polkas to oldies and classics to today’s hits. There will be a bounce house during the day for the kids and we will have K9 demonstrations, a scavenger hunt, police and fire displays and various raffles. The highlight of the evening will be 2 professional comedians for an 18+ show who have worked across the east coast and have performed on TV. They start their performance at 9pm. We are working on some other ideas, so feel free to check back here or call our info line at 413-218-7361. The Hatfield Police Association is asking for donations from to help with the funding of the event and to raise money for the Hatfield Police Association. We will be providing guests with a program at the event that will feature business advertisements and various community information. All profits from the fundraiser will help the association continue to give to various foundations such as MADD, Police Memorial Fund, Council on Aging, and the Smith Academy scholarships that we give out annually, etc. It will also help the association to purchase equipment needed for the department to further help the town.
